Oruganti Laila (President)
Oruganti Laila, Founder and President of Modern Awareness Society, is also a member of Telangana State Transgender Welfare Board. She has completed her M.A. in Sociology, is also a senior teacher and has spent the last 24 years in social work. Ms. Laila is also working as a campaigner for the Telangana State Election Commission.
Oruganti Sneha (Vice President)
Oruganti Sneha, Vice President of MAS, is an active transwoman influencer on Youtube, using the platform to sensitize the public about the issues faced by the community. She has done her M.A. in Sociology from Kakatiya University, Warangal. Currently, she is working as a counsellor for the Vihaan project.
Veerabattini Rimsha (General Secretary)
Veerabattini Rimsha, General Secretary of MAS, is a transwoman social activist and also a fashion designer by profession. She has a B.A. degree in Sociology and been active in raising HIV/AIDS awareness amongst the community in Hanamkonda district. She was been awarded as the Best Social Worker by the District Collector.
Purnima Reddy (Treasurer)
Purnima Reddy, Treasurer of MAS, has been associated with the organization since 2009. She works in a private company in a financial networking operation. She has a B.Sc. degree and actively participates in the programs of the organization. Ms. Purnima has been awarded as the Best Social Worker by the District Collector
Oruganti Usha (Board Member)
Oruganti Usha, an Executive Council Member in MAS, has been part of the board since 2007. She actively mobilized groceries for the marginalized community and helped the authorities to perform the last rites of the deceased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Usha was felicitated as a COVID-19 warrior by the district authorities.
